Boston, MA, February 07, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- In a perfect blend of Boston’s healthcare ecosystem, early stage entrepreneurs, established companies, venture capitalists, representatives of health care competitions and some other denizens of the healthcare start-up world came together for pizza, pitches and a look at new ways to find funding.
After host Christopher Tsai of CareInnovators welcomed participants, three entrepreneurs, including CaringWise CEO Trevania Henderson, gave their pitches and fielded audience questions. Then the evening turned its focus to fundraising.
Competitions are gaining momentum in the health care industry as a great way to get national and regional exposure, motivate teams, and win a much needed infusion of capital. Representatives and competition winners from Body Shock, DiabetesMine, Health 2.0 Developer Challenge and myHealthyPeople Challenge shared their inside knowledge with Boston’s health care entrepreneurs.
