New York, NY, March 14, 2007 --(PR.com)-- A year after launching its wildly successful line of all natural, organic cotton candy, Toronto-based Pure Fun Confections is adding even more wholesome sweetness to its product offerings with a variety of Certified Organic, Kosher and Vegan hard candies and lollipops – all made with the finest, certified organic ingredients purchased from Fair Trade suppliers around the globe.
The new products – which will be available starting mid-April in select stores across Canada and the United States, as well as in Australia and the United Kingdom – come in fun flavours such as Nature’s Goji Berry, Ginger, Raging Raspberry, Pomegrenate, Grimy Green Apple, Canadian Maple, and Root Beer.
“You won’t find artificial, toxic ingredients in our candies,” says Pure Fun president Luna Roth. “That means no artificial colours and flavours, no glutens, no pesticides, no casein, no titanium dioxide, no GMOs.”
Pure Fun candies don’t contain any dairy products either, adds Roth. Instead, they're made with certified organic evaporated cane juice, organic brown rice syrup, and organic citric acid. The candies get their jewel-like colours from natural ingredients that include red beet concentrate, alfalfa extract, red cabbage, annato and other nutritious fruits and vegetables.
Pure Fun candies are also environmentally friendly. All suppliers are required to conform to Fair Trade practices. In addition, Pure Fun uses only organic sugar cane grown by farmers who “green cut” the cane by hand and who then use the crushed cane stalks to fire their boilers and generate electricity.
“Finally, you can feel good handing out candy to your kids – or eating a few yourself,” says Roth.
In Canada, Pure Fun candies are available at Whole Foods Market, Planet Organic Market and IGA supermarkets. In the United States, Pure Fun can be found at leading retailers and specialty stores throughout the U.S.
