Appriss, Inc. Joins IJIS Institute as Its 10th Sustaining Member

Institute’s prestigious member class continues to grow

Ashburn, VA, May 27, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The IJIS Institute, a nonprofit organization that focuses on mission-critical information sharing for justice, public safety, and homeland security, announces that Appriss, Inc. has upgraded its member status to become the organization’s 10th Sustaining Member. Appriss, Inc. has been a Member of the IJIS Institute since April 1, 2003.

The Sustaining Member program was created less than one year ago. Since then, this elite class of membership in the IJIS Institute has grown to include companies that offer an impressive cadre of expertise that support IJIS Institute projects across the board.

Sustaining Members of the IJIS Institute receive a number of benefits in addition to those of regular Members, including:

-- Enhanced recognition on the Institute’s website and in other promotional materials;
-- Expanded allowances for event attendance and participation;
-- Invitation-only meetings with industry and government leaders; and,
-- Private briefings by IJIS Institute executive staff on strategic issues important to the information sharing initiatives and standards.

Sustaining Membership is an excellent avenue for companies to express good corporate citizenship on a national level.

Appriss, Inc. CEO Michael Davis recently stated, “We are excited to now be a part of the IJIS Institute Sustaining Member program. We look forward to finding new and innovative ways to support the IJIS Institute mission, and to forging stronger collaborative relationships with the IJIS membership.”

Glenn Archer, the IJIS Institute’s executive director, stated, “I am very happy to welcome Appriss as a Sustaining Member. Originally known as Interactive Systems and the VINE Company, Appriss was founded by current CEO Michael Davis and Yung Nguyen in 1994, and has provided innovative software-based services that help hundreds of local, state and Federal criminal justice agencies serve and inform their citizens. Appriss has supported the work and mission of the IJIS Institute over the years through membership participation and sponsorships. Their active engagement in the work of our committees and industry events has proved to be a tremendous asset to our organization.”
