Debt Settlement Company Announces New President

Employee works his way from sales manager to president of national debt resolution company, Debt Shield, Inc.

Columbia, MD, March 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In a classic “working your way to the top” story, Debt Shield employee John Gourdin sat down in the President’s chair for the first time this week.

Gourdin joined Debt Shield as the Sales Manager in 2005. His work helping clients with unsecured debts expanded quickly to a position as a Program Specialist for the Marketing and Strategic Development Department.

Gourdin continued to demonstrate initiative by finding new opportunities for fine-tuning customer service. Noticing his hard work and dedication, executives quickly promoted him to Operations Director and tasked him with overseeing case management and sales processes.

As president, Gourdin sees opportunities to help Debt Shield further its mission to help financially struggling consumers settle their debts. He said that the credit card industry, waning economy and the habitual use of credit in American continue to challenge consumers.

“Unfortunately, a life of never-ending debt has become the norm in America, and as more and more creditors seek a piece of the American consumer wallet, those wallets get more and more strained,” said Gourdin. “We simply help people get their lives back.”

Debt Shield Founder Phil Fewster said he prefers to promote from within whenever possible and Gourdin’s exceptional leadership abilities made him an obvious choice.

“John has exceptional leadership abilities, project management skills and customer service experience – qualities rarely found in one person,” said Fewster. “Moreover, John is familiar with the industry and understands the importance of our work.”
