Attendee Interactive Launches New Conference Management Software Utilizing QR Codes
Attendee Interactive (Ai) has incorporated the use of QR Codes for a “blended” onsite solution for traditional poster board displays at conferences and meetings. The software provides attendees the capability to easily download an electronic version of a traditional conference poster directly to their SmartPhone or iPad2. By utilizing QR codes conference planners will extend the life of the traditional conference poster.

The software provides attendees the capability to easily download an electronic version of a traditional conference poster directly to their SmartPhone or iPad2.
“In our industry we are beginning to see more and more QR Codes (or Quick Response Barcodes) at conferences. Most recently we noticed exhibitors have them in their booths as a way to drive traffic to their website or conference offerings,” said Michael Tydings, president, Attendee Interactive.
“They are a relatively new automated digital way to give and receive a piece of information such as a company website, an abstract submission, a speakers presentation, education session handouts or an exhibitors booth giveaway,” said Tydings.
To access the QR Codes on the traditional poster boards attendees will need to download a QR code reader application. “There are many free apps available,” said Tydings. Once the app is downloaded attendees simply hold up their phone or iPad2 and point it at the QR Code. The QR Code’s information will instantly be displayed on their device.
“Conference planners are looking for ways to extend the life of their conference and this is a great way to do it,” said Tydings. “Attendees will be able to quickly download poster information and won’t be rushed through the poster exhibit worrying about missing another session.”
