Snooth Closes Initial Round of Financing

Wine recommendation engine raises $300,000.

New York, NY, March 20, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Snooth announced that it has raised $300,000 from international investors who were attracted to the company’s potential to simplify wine-purchasing decisions for the casual and aspiring wine-drinker.

The seed round of funding will enable Snooth to develop its vertical search engine and wine recommendation technology, which is expected to launch in Summer 2007.

“The interest we received from the investor community is testament to the opportunity,” says Snooth founder Philip James, “Wine is an extremely complex product. There are thousands of regions, varietals, techniques, and styles - and a wine that suits one person’s tastes is not always right for another. Snooth is addressing this problem by personalizing the wine selection process.”
