CEO & Chairman Jim Walker of Octagon Research Solutions, Inc., a pioneer and leader in the electronic transformation of clinical R&D in the life sciences industry, announced today that Octagon’s President Kirk Gallion, has been named as one of the regions 40 individuals, under the age of 40, being honored with this special acknowledgement. The 40 under 40 Awards Program recognizes and profiles the Philadelphia region’s most accomplished young professionals who are proven performers in both their industry and their community.
The 40 recipients are up and coming young leaders who have shaped our community in ways that have made Greater Philadelphia a better place to do business and live. According to Editor Bernard Dagenais, “This program enables the Philadelphia Business Journal, and our high-powered readers, to learn about some of the rising business leaders in the region. These are people who distinguish themselves through their talent and their actions, on behalf of companies and causes that help to define the business community.” While working to improve the life sciences industry, Kirk Gallion has shown business success, measurable achievements, and dedication to his community.
“Kirk and I founded Octagon in 1999 on the conviction that we could create a company that would transform the way industry approaches clinical R&D”, stated Jim Walker. “Kirk is an innovative leader who is committed to identifying and cultivating internal talent, and combined with his love of technology, has created an entrepreneurial environment where innovation is not only encouraged, but expected. Kirk is truly deserving of this award, and it has been my privilege to work with him these past eight years.”
Kirk Gallion’s profile will be printed in a special editorial section of the Philadelphia Business Journal on May 4 and he will also be recognized at an awards banquet on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the Sheraton Society Hill.
