LoHi’s LEED Platinum Show Home announces eco-event roster to benefit North High’s Environmental Studies Scholarship.
Denver, CO, June 24, 2011 --(PR.com)-- With construction on the Denver Green Cube Show Home at 3310 Shoshone Street nearing completion, the project’s Steering Committee today announced a full roster of eco-friendly events to benefit an environmental studies scholarship at North High School. On August 11, 2011, the Show Home will officially open to the public for three weeks of education about affordable, sustainable building to include classes, tours, open houses, social events, and special events showcasing the project’s green vendors.
Event highlights at the Green Cube include a Grand Open and Ribbon-Cutting August 11, an Eco-Chic for Green Fashionistas Fashion Show August 13., a food truck party August 20, and closing night celebrations August 27. In addition to these marquee events, the Green Cube will be hosting social and educational events showcasing the home’s sustainable features and raising funds for North High.
“We’re thrilled to have a great event roster to complement our stellar list of local green sponsors,” says Project Director Rachel Gallegos, who has assembled a roster of green businesses to outfit the Show Home for its August launch. “Our ribbon-cutting will represent not just the completion of a cutting-edge green home, but the opportunity to promote sustainable, affordable lifestyles with a unique sense of community.”
