Leader in Endoscopic Spine Surgery Makes Major Gift to Foundation Increasing Access to Advanced Spinal Care.

Tampa, FL, June 25, 2011 --( Phil Garcia, president of The Spine Foundation (, an independent organization with the mission to increase access to the world’s most scientifically advanced spinal care, has announced that the foundation has received a major institutional gift from Laser Spine Institute, the leader in endoscopic spine surgery.

The Spine Foundation is focused on providing patients with financial support and services essential to treat spinal conditions and disorders at a location of the patient’s choice. The organization funds surgical and non-surgical spinal treatments for financially disadvantaged individuals with a focus on improving the lives of men and women who have sustained spinal injuries as a result of serving in the United States military.

“Through this generous donation from Laser Spine Institute, The Spine Foundation will be able to fund more than $300,000 in additional surgical and non-surgical spinal procedures in 2011,” said Garcia.

“We are proud and excited to be The Spine Foundation’s largest donor to date,” said Bill Horne, CEO of Laser Spine Institute. “Through The Spine Foundation, Laser Spine Institute can help those suffering from back and neck pain who may not otherwise be able to afford quality treatment.”
