Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc. Bolsters Support for Veterans as a Sponsor of Jared Allen’s “Homes for Wounded Warriors” Golf Tournament
Lombard, IL, June 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc., a national staffing organization specialized in recruiting skilled personnel for clients in the Professional Services, Life Sciences, Healthcare and Information Technology industries, was a sponsor and participant in the second annual Night-Ops Charity Golf Tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz. on Saturday, June 18th. The event, which was held at Ancala Golf Resort, was to benefit Minnesota Vikings Defensive End Jared Allen’s charity “Homes for Wounded Warriors.”
“Medix’s core values are centered around accountability, passion and commitment not only in the business environment, but in the community as well,” said Medix’s CEO and President Andrew Limouris. “That’s why we are dedicated to finding causes and charities to inspire community outreach throughout our organization. Jared Allen’s ‘Homes for Wounded Warriors’ is one charity we really stand behind, as its mission and values truly align with those of our company.”
“Homes for Wounded Warriors” is a non-profit organization created in 2009 by Jared Allen with the purpose of providing financial assistance and support in building or adapting homes to be handicap accessible and comfortable for wounded vets returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. According to the charity’s website, Allen was “moved by the commitment, dedication and sacrifices our soldiers make every day to protect our freedoms, and is committed to embracing the conflict and making a positive life-changing difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
The Night-Ops Charity Golf Tournament is one of the organization’s events designed to raise financial support and awareness for the cause. The event hosted celebrities, athletes and musicians in nine holes of golf during the day and nine holes of night golf, a pig roast, silent auction and contests for longest drive, closest to the pin, longest putt and hole in one.
Medix supported the cause as a sponsor of the event, and fourteen Medix representatives attended as participants in the golf tournament. “Not only was the event a blast to participate in, this is also such a unique charity and one we are proud to endorse,” said Limouris. “It is very impressive what Jared has done with his organization, and we look forward to being a supporter of ‘Homes for Wounded Warriors’ for years to come!”
“The success of our charity events would not be possible without the support from sponsors and friends like Andrew and the Medix team,” said Allen. “Medix has been great to work with, and it’s always a pleasure to have their crew help us on our mission to support our wounded warriors.”
