Harley-Davidson of Lakeland® Disaster Relief Benefit Success

Lakeland, FL, June 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, June 18, 2011 Harley-Davidson of Lakeland® hosted a Disaster Relief Benefit to provide assistance to the families of Cycle Connection Harley-Davidson® in Joplin, MO. The event was the culmination of several weeks of fundraising and the efforts produced $9,400.00, which will be donated directly to the non-profit organization created to support these families.

Over 400 attendees enjoyed a swap meet, games, a silent auction and 50/50 raffle, and refreshments provided by Rita’s Italian Ice and Red Elephant restaurant. “Thank you to all of the businesses and individuals who donated, attended and showed their support,” stated Rachel King, Marketing Manager for Harley-Davidson of Lakeland®. “We are thankful for the community’s generosity and response to these families in their time of need.”

Cycle Connection Harley-Davidson® dealership t-shirts are available at Harley-Davidson of Lakeland® for a $30.00 donation. Monetary donations are also being accepted.
