Oregon State University Selects FieldTurf for New Track & Field Complex

FieldTurf field for new complex marks 4th FieldTurf surface on campus; Beaver athletics receives yet another state-of-the-art upgrade

Corvallis, OR, July 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Oregon State Beavers have selected FieldTurf for the playing field area as part of their new track and field complex that is currently under construction. The FieldTurf surface will mainly serve the Beaver track and soccer teams in addition to other sports. This marks the fourth FieldTurf surface on campus, making the world’s most innovative turf manufacturer the clear-cut #1 choice for Beaver athletics. Construction is expected to be completed by the spring of 2012.

The long-standing relationship between OSU and FieldTurf made the decision to select the FieldTurf product an easy one.

“We have had FieldTurf in our facilities since 2001 and feel it is an incredible surface that allows our athletes to perform at the highest levels,” said OSU Associate Athletic Director John Cheney. “The level of professionalism shown to us by FieldTurf and the service we continue to receive is truly first-class.”

“The OSU Beavers are one of our longest-standing clients and we could not be happier that they continue to trust in our product and our company,” said FieldTurf President Eric Daliere. “We look forward to providing our innovative turf system as part of their impressive new track and field complex.”

Reser Stadium, Goss Stadium at Coleman Field, and the Truax Center are the other facilities on the OSU campus that have FieldTurf fields. There are over 15 FieldTurf fields currently in use throughout the PAC-12 conference in addition to well over 100 installations at the NCAA D-1 level.
