Martinsburg, WV, July 21, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- The week of July 25th, West Virginia resident and scholar, Dr. Michelle Baker, will host a global telesummit featuring a series of interviews with writing experts to help people write more clearly.
Dr. Baker was once affectionately described as a good old country girl who knows a lot of big words. It’s not a description she would eschew.
Raised in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia’s eastern panhandle, Michelle Baker embraced her lifelong love of language when she left her job auditing banks to pursue a graduate degree in English Language and Literature from the Catholic University of America.
Upon attaining her doctorate, Michelle decided to expand upon the consulting work she was already doing with the United States Fish and Wildlife, teaching biologists how to write more clearly, in her new business, the Corporate Writing Pro.
CWP’s inaugural event will be held the week of July 25th on her website: http://corporatewritingpro.com, where ten writing and language specialists will converge to share their expertise with writers who want to hone their skills.
A telesummit is much like an academic or professional conference. Speakers prepare talks on a common theme and participants come looking for education and revitalization. But unlike traditional conferences, a telesummit can be joined from the privacy of your home or office, without the expense or the hassle of travel.
Dr. Baker’s telesummit will be offered free to anyone who registers. The speakers come from the United States and Canada. And participants are already registering from as far away as Europe, Pakistan, and Malaysia, making it a truly global event. Michelle still resides within sight of the Blue Ridge mountain range and spends most of her working day with her dogs by her side, but the conversations with her guests will be broadcast around the world.
And hopefully the telesummit will help many a far-reaching writer to communicate more clearly. For more information or to register, please visit: http://corporatewritingpro.com/ulreg.html
