Saudi Arabia IT services Firm Gulf infoNet announced on Wednesday it has acquired Hostgee.com

Dallas, TX, July 27, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Saudi Arabia IT services Firm Gulf infoNet announced on Wednesday it has acquired the business assets of fallen managed and hosting services SME reseller HostGee (www.hostgee.com) in a pre-pack deal.

Pakistan-based Hostgee was forced to sell its hosting and managed services unit after it encountered financial difficulties.

The company called on Rauf Ayoob & Co (www.raufayoob.com) to find potential buyers for the company.

Gulf InfoNet posted this statement on its website: "Its business as usual, the seamless transfer enabled our customers to access all services without any interruption, and clients will continue to receive the high levels of support they have come to expect from HostGee."

Gulf InfoNet Technology technical director Arif Noor confirmed the company had purchased the hosting and managed services businesses. The staff of 3 employees has already relocated to Gulf Infonet's offices.

"We have tried to save as many jobs as we could as we have operated in the karachi area for 2 years," said Khalid.

He said there were cross selling opportunities between the two firms in terms of technologies and customer bases.

Gulf InfoNet Technology provides Web and email filtering, ID management, authentication and remote access, with offices in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

According to financial records for the year leading up to March 31, 2011, Gulf InfoNet Technology had a net worth of $15,355.

Meanwhile, Gulf InfoNet insolvency manager Abdul Rehman said on Tuesday he was doubtful the company could find a buyer for the remaining elements units of HostGee, namely its small retail and support services business.
