B&S Fitness Presents the North Shore’s Newest and Most Original Weight Loss Challenge

Salem, MA, July 27, 2011 --(PR.com)-- B&S Fitness (http://www.bnsfitness.com/) the largest provider of fitness programs on Boston's North Shore has created another one-of-a-kind fitness event: "Lose it to Win it" - a weight-loss challenge where the person who loses the highest percentage of body fat wins more than $1000 in cash and prizes. This program combines a weight loss development model of nutrition and mixed exercises and is only for people with at least 50 pounds to lose.

Participation in the event is limited to fifteen people per class, and participants will be selected through an application and interview process. The program is created around the philosophy of promoting good health and an active lifestyle through an atmosphere of friendly competition, coached motivation, and structure.

Brandi Dion, President of B&S Fitness explains why her company developed this event, "Everyone deserves fitness and good health, and we want to help people achieve these objectives while enabling participants to have a life-changing experience through our program."

Nationally certified (NSCA and NASM) exercise coaches will run weekly workouts, with a mix of training methods that incorporate the latest fitness trends along with standard boot camp techniques. Participants will have their body fat and weight taken each week, helping them to not only see the results, but to also take accountability for the process. In addition to the weekly workouts, B&S Fitness will also provide workout tips tailored to each participant's needs and schedules, including encouragement to seek additional outside resources to achieve the best results possible in this eight-week program. Resources available to program participants are as follows: B&S Fitness, B&S Sport Science, Bowenwork, Salem Park and Recreation, Integrative Muscular Therapy, a B&S Sport Science Certified Nutritionist, and Gloria Bakst, a personal chef who specializes in weight loss and meal preparation for those suffering from Type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and more.

The cost of the program is $250 and will be structured as 75-minute classes held at B&S Sport Science located at Dock 19/20 at Shetland Park, in Salem, MA. Each class will begin with a weigh-in and discussion followed by updates on results, health tips, workout advice, and more. The class will meet once a week; there will be two class options per week to select from: Tuesday nights at 6:00 pm or Friday mornings at 5:45 am.
