Atlanta, GA, September 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Tamika Rolax-Brown, better known as Lady Rolax, is a unique, multi-talented makeup artist based in Atlanta, GA. Her passion for innovative makeup artistry and experience in the industry led her to open Doll Faces Makeup Artistry and she has since been creating works of art and gaining notoriety in her field.

Lady Rolax began her fascination with makeup as a child and has continued that education throughout her career. At the age of 15, she started doing her own makeup for special events and received many compliments on her creativeness. When she was 19, friends began requesting her to do their makeup for special occasions. To continue her education in makeup artistry she read books, magazines and even worked at Bovanti Cosmetics while earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Media Arts from Morris Brown College. After graduation, she worked at Estee Lauder, and then received a Master’s Degree from Clark Atlanta University in Public Administration. After working in the corporate sector for a while she realized it was not the road she wanted to pursue. She decided to follow her dreams and opened her own company, Doll Faces Makeup Artistry, in January 2006.

Lady Rolax’s unique skills allow her to offer a multitude of services at Doll Faces Makeup Artistry. Her company offers makeup services for the everyday woman, special events, bridal, advertisement/print, TV/film and editorials. She is also proficient in special effects makeup, body art, airbrush makeup, light hair styling, eyebrow arching and eyelash application. Lady Rolax tends to each of her clients with care and listens to their wants and needs while working her magic.

Since her start in the industry Lady Rolax has been growing an impressive list of clientele. She has worked with WNBA star Tammy Sutton-Brown and R&B star Keith Sweat, just to name a few. Upscale Magazine has requested her work for beauty shoots and she has worked with celebrity photographers such as Leo Marshall, Jeno and Calvin Evans. Recently, she teamed up with famed urban book cover designer, Marion Designs, to work her magic. Her makeup skills can also be seen in national Enstyle Hair ads and in the rebranding for Idonia Hair and Skin products.

Lady Rolax is best known for her edgy but clean beauty makeup. Her signature ability to chisel the face to perfection using makeup brings the client’s natural beauty to light simultaneously. This unique talent gives her an edge when creating special effects for film and editorials. She has an excellent ability to use makeup to create wrinkles, lacerations, burns and other unique special effects on the face and body.

“I am perfecting my craft everyday to become great at what I do, I am humble and feel that I can continue to learn new things,” says Lady Rolax.
