)-- Innovation Direct™, now in its 15th year as a leader in the field of intellectual property licensing, is pleased to announce that it has licensed the exclusive rights to a patented process for licensing new products and inventions to third parties. This method, which has played an integral part in the signing of 300 licensing agreements over the company’s history, has been awarded Utility Patent # 7,970,691 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The patent application for the licensing methodology was originally filed in February 2006. Innovation Direct™ has been employing the process with considerable success throughout the years the application has been pending, and has now secured the exclusive rights to utilize it as a patented business method with the new products and inventions that it is contracted to represent.
“We are extremely pleased and excited about the fact that this method, which has already been proven to be successful in practice throughout many years, has now had this success officially recognized by the United States Patent Office through the granting of this patent,” commented Juan C. Blanco, Innovation Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing. “We are also certainly proud of the fact that Innovation Direct™ will be the only company through which an inventor will be able to leverage this very effective process.”
The successful licensing of new products, concepts, and inventions is widely considered to be a challenging proposition with varying degrees of success. Therefore, access to a proven technique can represent a considerable advantage to an inventor seeking to sufficiently interest a third party company into investing into the licensing of their invention. Innovation Direct™ believes that this method will be able to assist inventors worldwide in increasing their chances of successfully commercializing their products, regardless of the category they are in.
“We believe one of the most valuable aspects of this process is its capabilities across the board,” remarked Blanco. “It is designed to be as equally effective when attempting to license the latest household gadget as it is when it is utilized with a new construction equipment concept, for example.”
Inventors contracting Innovation Direct™ for their Product and Patent Management services will have access to this exclusive licensing process throughout the duration of their agreement with the company. This methodology will be used in conjunction with the other promotional materials created by Innovation Direct™, such as a product press release, color digital rendition, and comprehensive summary of the invention, to attempt to elicit interest and eventually license inventions to licensees in various industries.
