GCFLearnFree.org Reaches 100,000 Mobile Applications Downloads

GCFLearnFree.org announces that its eight mobile apps have been downloaded over 100,000 times.

Raleigh, NC, August 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Starting in February 2011, GCFLearnFree.org launched the first of its mobile apps. In six short months, over 100,000 mobile applications have been downloaded, allowing people around the world access to free educational content through mobile applications.

Starting with a Vocabulary Dictionary Mobile app for iPhone, GCFLearnFree.org quickly added Tutorial apps for Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010, available on both iPhone and Android devices. A Word 2010 Tutorial app for the iPad is the most recent to join the family of mobile applications offered by the eLearning site.

The most popular mobile application is the Word 2010 Tutorial App for iPhone with 60,874 downloads. While the iPhone apps have outperformed the Android apps in total downloads, all eight applications have garnered high ratings and positive feedback.

Current mobile applications are based on the popular tutorials found on the website and content available through GCF Mobile Apps continues to be made available through GCFLearnFree.org.
