Global Institute of Intellectual Property (GIIP) Launches Off-Campus IP Learning

GIIP launches Off-Campus IP Learning programme and is inviting applications for the same. The programme aims at making IP learning more easily available, cost-effective and convenient to a broader constituency of learners.

New Delhi, India, August 04, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Global Institute of Intellectual Property, a leading Intellectual Property (IP) training company, is pleased to launch its Off-Campus IP Learning programme and is inviting applications for the same. The programme aims at making IP learning more easily available, cost-effective and convenient to a broader constituency of learners. The Off-Campus IP Learning programme is an extension of GIIP’s existing instructor led training programs and will impart IP knowledge and skills to uses with technical, legal and management background.

The Off-Campus IP Learning programme offers flexible, user-defined delivery mode and is tailored to meet the needs of a wide category of users, ranging from scholars to researchers to technical professionals. The programme allows for learning at any time, any place and GIIP’s online learning system facilitates constant interaction with the trainers and mentors. A user can undertake a complete capsule or individual modules to meet his/her specific needs.

The Off-Campus IP Learning programme provides comprehensive knowledge about different forms of Intellectual Property (IP), related protection systems & their significance, infringement issues and strategies for commercialization and management. The programme curriculum covers state of the art education in IP laws of India, US and EP and provides practical insights supported by illustrations, case studies and exercises that simulate scenarios commonly faced by a mid size to large enterprises handling IP issues. The focus is on actual day-to-day intellectual property issues faced by a technology-based company.

The Off-Campus IP Learning suite of products are designed for different users – a) Students and Working Professionals, b) R&D professionals and Research Scientists /Associates and c) Corporate; and each product is further categorized as Basic, Advanced and Expert to suit the particular user needs or competency.

The Off-Campus IP Learning product for Students and Working Professionals, called the "IPNucleus,” is now available and offers the following capsules:

1. IPNucleus Basic - includes course material (hard copy, online material or a combination of both) interaction with the trainer by email, phone or fax, assessment of each module upon completion and final examination and certification

2. IPNucleus Advanced - includes features of the IPNucleus Basic capsule and three 2-day sessions (instructor led classes) at the beginning, middle and end of the capsule.

3. IPNucleus Expert – includes features of the IPNucleus Advanced capsule followed by two months of internship at a leading Corporate, MNC, KPO or Law Firm.

While announcing the Off-Campus IP Learning, GIIP’s CEO Mr. Atulya Nath said, “We are glad to offer this programme as it is in accordance with our endeavor to reach out to the masses and make them IP savvy. The Off-Campus IP Learning is a mode of delivery which is predominantly delivered online via our learning management system or supported by supplementary material that is posted to the user - including print-based materials, online web access and CD ROMs. Users will need to have access to a computer with an Internet connection and a CD/DVD ROM drive, in order to study off-campus modules.”

The IPNucleus programme is designed for graduates, post-graduates, research associates and working professionals from the ICT, Automobile, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Heavy Engineering, Petrochemical and KPO & LPO industry. Some of the modules are also meant for professionals with legal (LLB, LLM) background.

The fee for the IPNucleus Basic capsule is Rs. 27500/-, for the IPNucleus Advanced capsule is Rs.45000/- and for the IPNucleus Expert capsule is Rs. 75000/-. The date of commencement of the IPNucleus programme is 25th August, 2011 and applications will be accepted throughout the year.
