In her new position, Whitaker will be in charge of recruiting new members and encouraging their involvement by introducing them to other members, inviting them to functions and serving as their main information contact. Whitaker is an active member in many nonprofit, civic and professional organizations throughout the community such as the Triangle Society for Human Resource Management and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina.
