Fisher & Phillips to Provide Workplace Law Update for HR, Legal Professionals

Attorneys in the Denver office of national labor & employment law firm, Fisher & Phillips LLP, will provide a full-day employment law update at the state conference of the Colorado Society for Human Resource Management (CO-SHRM)

Denver, CO, August 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Attorneys in the Denver office of the national labor & employment law firm Fisher & Phillips LLP, have been asked to provide a comprehensive, full-day workplace law update for Human Resources, legal and business professionals at one of the most prestigious HR conventions of the year, hosted by the Colorado Society for Human Resource Management (CO SHRM).

“Workplace law is evolving rapidly,” said Fisher & Phillips’ Denver Managing Partner Todd Fredrickson. “Businesses that do not stay current with legal developments risk enforcement action from a variety of federal agencies that have made it clear that they will be going after employers not in compliance.”

Five Fisher & Phillips attorneys will be presenting Revolutionary Solutions at Work: The 2011 SHRM Colorado Legal Update on Day One of the 2011 SHRM Colorado State Conference September 28-30, in Keystone Colorado.

The interactive full-day Legal Update will cover a range of the top legal issues companies face and will provide practical guidance to help keep organizations in compliance with rapidly-evolving workplace law. Topics will include, “Legal News You Can Use,” “The Global Employer,” “The Evolving Electronic Workplace”, and “Understanding Adverse Impact In Hiring and Termination.”

This will be followed by a light-hearted “quiz-show” event, “Our Workplace is Like a Family Feud,” where five-member “families” test their knowledge of workplace law and vie for prizes and bragging rights.

Legal Update is accredited for 8 hours of CLE credit as well as 7 hours of HCRI credit.

The three day conference will feature keynote speakers Ram Charan, internationally renowned author and advisor to some of the world’s top CEOs and Mark Stelzner, a well-known “in-your-face” consultant to senior HR executives.
