Citizens of Arlington, Fed Up with Feeling Sick and Tired, Take Personal Well-Being Into Their Own Sweaty Hands

Arlington citizens claim that Bikram Yoga has made a powerful, positive and profound impact in their lives.

Arlington, TX, August 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Bikram Yoga North Texas has opened its newest studio at I-20 and Cooper in South Arlington, Texas (4629 S Cooper St. Cooper Street Plaza, Arlington, TX 76017). Studio owner Stacey Stier-Herndon says that she is extremely excited to be bringing the highly-popular style of hot yoga to such an underserved portion of the Dallas / Ft. Worth metroplex. “Bikram Yoga has gained incredible worldwide exposure especially in the last decade,” said Stier-Herndon. Bikram Yoga North Texas student Beth Pizzuto said “My back has never been stronger than it is now and I owe it all to the spine strengthening series. Those four postures have made a huge difference in my life.”

Bikram Yoga’s unique 26-posture approach was developed from Hatha Yoga by Bikram Choudhury. The postures are sequenced and conducted in a heated (105° F), controlled environment. Stier-Herndon points out that the Bikram approach is incomparable to any other fitness or wellness program available today. “I’ve been amazed to see the positive impact that Bikram Yoga has had on our students. From teenagers to the elderly, pro athletes to people who want to begin a fitness routine, literally, every walk of life receives benefit,” she said. The practice of Bikram Yoga is so powerful students from every spectrum - from cancer patients using this yoga to detox from chemotherapy to professional athletes conditioning themselves for their sports - are experiencing amazing results.

“Best of all, I lost 11 pounds in 3 weeks and the weight continues to come off. I stand taller and have more awareness of my body and how I hold myself. My flexibility improves with every posture and I can now touch my toes! I no longer have pain in my knees and my legs no longer ache after standing on them for a 12-14 hour shift at work. I haven't had one symptom of pre-menopause and PMS is no longer a part of my vocabulary. I have found my fountain of youth in Bikram yoga,” said Bikram Yoga North Texas student Lori Vara.

As with Stier-Herndon’s inaugural studio in Grapevine, the south Arlington location is open 7 days a week with classes beginning at 5:30 am weekdays and conveniently scheduled throughout the day. A wide variety of tuition options are also available.

Tuition, schedule and additional information is available at the Bikram Yoga North Texas web site: www.bikramyoganorthtexas.com.
