)-- The Canadian Federation of Poets (CFP), have announced the winner of 'Poet of the Year' for year 2006. Internationally acclaimed Indian Poet Nikhil Parekh has bagged yet another coveted honor at the federation. Featured in the federation's 'Poetry Canada' magazine and also elected its 'Indian Chair', Parekh is now 'Poet of the Year' at the Canadian Federation of Poets (FederationofPoets.com)

Nikhil Parekh, is also a double world record holder with Limca Book of Records India, only 2nd in World Rankings to Guinness book. He's entered the book for two prestige records of 'Being India's 1st and only Winner of the EPPIE award for best poetry e-book in history of the EPPIE Awards' and 'Writing most number of letters to and receiving the most number of replies from World Leaders and World Organizations'. Presently, the Indian Chair of the Canadian Federation of Poets, Parekh is also the only Indian Poet to be published in the 'Commonwealth HIV-AIDS Newsletter' for his poem on AIDS Awareness, in alltime history of Commonwealth Newsletters circulated till date.
