Student Price Card Brings Its Loyalty Discount Program to Illinois Students

Toronto, Canada, August 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Student Price Card (SPC Card) will be bringing its unique savings card to students in Illinois on August 20th. The program, which operates on an instant reward module, is a low-cost way for students to save while shopping at the stores they love.

In today’s economy students are looking for more ways to save without having to give up their shopping habits. The Student Price Card (SPC Card) is one simple card which entitles students a discount, usually 10-15%, at stores that participate in the program. It eliminates the need for being a part of a different loyalty plan for each retailer and provides instant benefits. Students simply show the card and get the discount.

Student Price Card (SPC Card) partners with popular retailers to provide discounts that are beneficial to students. Twelve retailers have joined for the Illinois program including aerie, American Eagle Outfitters, Banana Republic, Body Shop, G by GUESS, Gap, Manchu WOK, New York & Company, Skechers, Pizza Hut, Motel 6 and Choice Hotels.

“The Student Price Card is one of the best ideas that I have found that gives the student a reason to not only shop, but to shop where they feel appreciated and are given an instant reward for their business,” noted James Dion, a retail industry expert and consultant at Dionco Inc. “Many stores have loyalty and reward programs, but only Student Price Card is able to work across all the needs of a student shopper. They can replace numerous cards and schemes with one simple, low cost card that gets them what they need when they need it. All in all, a win for the student and a big win for the stores who capture their business.”

The card runs in line with the school year, from August 1 each year until July 31 of the following year, allowing students to take advantage of it from Back-to-School straight through until summer holidays.

“Day in and day out we work hard to provide and add value to the products our student customers want. That has been the key to our on-going success,” says Dean Mazzariol, Student Price Card President.

Student Price Card will engage several online methods for connecting with their clients – from Facebook and Twitter, to providing special e-mail and mobile offers, e-commerce and client-care options by phone or e-mail.

“We’ve kept the card price affordable. When you use your card once at a store like Gap, and spend $50 or more, with the discount you receive you will have already you’ve already paid for the card,” Mazzariol said. “The savings you make from one purchase are enough to compensate for the $5 cost of the card.”

While the program is starting at twelve retailers, the goal is to expand as Student Price Card (SPC Card) increases its presence and membership in the US. Mazzariol added that the company has an aggressive three year plan to lead up to a national offering of the card.

“We believe we will have a positive response from students. Our product is unique because it speaks to the needs of students today. We really feel the response will be a good one,” Mazzariol concluded.
