Spring-Green Lawn Care Honors Top Performing Franchisees at National Conference

Proceeds of silent auction to be donated to Aflac Children’s Cancer Center.

Plainfield, IL, August 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Spring-Green Lawn Care raised $20,000 for the Aflac Children’s Cancer Center and franchise owners took home various awards for excellence at the National Training Conference in August at Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale, Ill. More than 50 franchise owners attended the national conference, making it the largest gathering of Spring-Green franchise owners and staff ever.

The $20,000 raised for the Aflac Children’s Cancer Center in Atlanta through a silent auction held during the conference will be donated in the name of 4-year-old Jack Geibel. Jack, the son of Spring-Green franchisee Lenny Geibel, was diagnosed with leukemia last year and is currently being treated at the center, where he is making steady progress toward recovery. The center treats children from across the country.

“Our family feels very blessed that Spring-Green offered to so generously support a cause that has directly touched our family,” Geibel said. “We are thrilled that $20,000 will go to help the cancer center where Jack is being treated.”

Several Spring-Green Lawn Care franchise owners were recognized for excellence at the conference in revenue and operational categories.

“Our franchisees had an amazing year,” said Ted Hofer, Spring-Green Lawn Care’s CEO. “We were joined by keynote speaker Thom Winninger who spoke about market leadership, Susan Black-Beth who spoke on the realities of running a family business, as well as other experts in the fields of operations, marketing and technology. Along with knowledge gained from other owners, our franchisees went home armed with dozens of ideas to make the next year even more successful.”
