President and CEO of WBENC Will Meet and Greet at GWBC’s Power of Partnering Marketplace

Atlanta, GA, August 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Certified women business owners will have the opportunity to meet with the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council President, Pamela Prince-Eason, on Aug. 30 at GWBC’s Power of Partnering (POP) Marketplace. The event will be at the Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart. A special President’s Corner will be on hand from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. for easy accessibility for WBE conference attendees to meet with her.

WBENC’s new President and CEO was formally the chair of the WBENC board of directors and most recently Vice President of Worldwide Procurement for Pfizer. Prince-Eason has also represented Pfizer on the WBENC board as Treasurer, Chair and Vice Chair of the Finance Committee, as well as Chair of the Technology and Audit Committees. She is a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from East Tennessee State University and a master’s degree in Business and Finance from John Hopkins University.

“I am excited to participate in this special event. GWBC and WBENC partner to provide not only the valued certification required to advance and grow WBEs in the Corporate and Government marketplaces, but also advanced resources to compete and succeed, as well as, access opportunities, such as this event, that will inspire and promote business growth and economic recovery,” Prince-Eason said. “I look forward to meeting the business owners who are driving their businesses and encourage all to accept the GWBC POP Challenge to Prepare, Connect and Prosper!”

The POP Marketplace Event is a two-day event that features the WAVE Golf Scholarship Tournament at Country Club of Roswell on August 29 from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and the POP Marketplace at the Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on August 30. GWBC® will close out the day cheering on the Atlanta Dream at their basketball game versus the Indiana Fever at Phillips Arena. The event is sponsored by major corporations and certified women business owners.

According to WBE sponsor Loretta Billingsley, owner of Billingsley Post & Graphics, "This is our second year to be a sponsor of the POP Marketplace and we are solid believers in what this event can do for all of our bottom lines. Let's face it. We are all constantly aware of staying ahead of our game and making new inroads to expand our businesses. POP supports that initiative. Roz Lewis and her team have consistently pushed for this initiative with GWBC's programs throughout the year, but POP is one of the premium events. Along with this energy, add WBENC President Pamela Eason's attendance and I think we, as a group of successful WBE's, can use this energetic initiative to beat the odds of this economy and continue to thrive and grow. I am very much looking forward to this year's POP Marketplace," she adds.

Traci Williams, president of Crescent Construction Services agrees. “Crescent Construction Services is always proud to support the GWBC annually at the Power of Partnering Marketplace Event. Of all the shows we have attended, the POP Marketplace is the only one that continues to support our business's growth year after year.”

The POP Marketplace will provide WBEs with an opportunity to network with government members and other WBEs to discuss procurement opportunities. Over 300 attendees are expected from Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. For registration and more information, please visit www.GWBCPOPMarketplace.biz.
