Web-based BI Software Targets SMB Companies

Makati City, Philippines, April 05, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Software Firm Infinite Intelligence recently announced a "customer analytics" tool using the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model and targeting small and midsized businesses (SMBs).

Infinite Intelligence is a division of IT solutions provider Pan Pacific Computer Center, Inc. (PPCC). The service will allow clients to create customer profiles, discover selling opportunities, and increase profits minus the costly investments, says John Alabastro, president of PPCC.

Benefits mentioned include being able to identify specific product needs and developing new features based on customer preferences, as well as forecasting demand, saving staff time, and optimizing inventory levels, among others.

"What you get from data warehousing is mere data, the end benefit is really knowing your customer and predicting future behavior," Alabastro says.

According to him, a common problem among local companies is that a lot of "scrubbing" or cleaning of data still has to be done before a customer analytics application could be put in place.

"In the Philippines, most companies don't really have clean data; so the first step is to clean the data then segment it to determine which ones are high-value or low-value," Alabastro says.

In offering the software using the SaaS model, Infinite Intelligence will be doing everything for its corporate clients, providing even the data analysts to help translate the resulting statistics and variables into insights and directions.

This model is expected to be more affordable since it spares the need to spend on expensive software, build and operate the underlying infrastructure, and manage the application on an ongoing basis.

Although the cost would generally depend on the amount of data, Alabastro says a company could avail of this service for anywhere from P300,000 to P1 million to P2 million.
