Master the Mountains with Adventures in the Alps’ Big Ski Trip

Guided ski tours to savour the Alps most challenging skiing.

London, United Kingdom, September 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Adventures in the Alps launches a new ‘ski safari’ holiday, The Big Ski Trip, for Winter 2011/12, giving expert skiers the chance to ski up to 10 resorts in 6 days both on and off piste, in order to find the best snow in the Alps.

Led by a professional mountain guide, skiers will be transported daily from the luxury chalet, Maison Caramel, to some of the Alps’ most picturesque ski spots in the Tarantaise Valley, including Val d’Isere, Meribel, Valmorel, Tignes, Ste Foy, La Rosiere, Les Arcs, Courchevel, Val Thorens and La Plagne. Each day the resort is chosen for snow and weather conditions so skiers are guaranteed the best skiing in the valley.

The morning starts with a big breakfast to set guests up for the day, before heading off to the slopes to meet the guides. The skiing will include a variety of on and off-piste, if conditions allow, and are set to challenge even the most expert of skiers. Skiers will also have one day off to cruise around the piste at their own speed.

There is no waiting around for ski passes, everything is organised for guests in advance, including booking a restaurant for lunch, so there is more time to spend on the mountain. After a great day out it is on to the après ski, starting with afternoon tea and cakes back at the chalet. Skiers will then have time to relax, using the chalet sauna, before sitting down to a gourmet three-course meal with wine.

The trip provides a great opportunity for expert skiers to ski with others of a similar standard. There is a maximum of 6 people to one guide, meaning skiers are in the hands of the knowledgeable mountain guides, ensuring a superb and safe skiing experience.

The Big Ski Trip is running twice during the Winter 2011/12 season, 22nd– 29th January and 4th – 11th March, with a maximum of 12 people per trip. The cost is £1,800 per person and includes

- Luxury accommodation for seven nights (single person in a double room)
- Continental breakfast and cooked option
- Afternoon tea and cakes on return to the chalet
- Gourmet three-course dinner with wine
- Airport transfers (Geneva to the chalet)
- Transfer to and from the ski stations
- Ski guiding/hosting on the piste with qualified mountain guide (max of six per guide)
- Off-piste skiing (if conditions allow)
- Ski and boot hire and avalanche equipment (not including airbags)
- Ski passes
- 24/7 concierge service

Skiers will need to purchase their own flights, holiday insurance, lunch and drinks on the slopes.

Adventures in the Alps’ Big Ski Trip is reserved for skiers who have experience both of black slopes and going off-piste.
