Vista, CA, September 08, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Builders Site Protection announced today that they are donating reusable materials for the 2011 Coastal Clean-up Day at Lake Poway on September 17th. Coastal Cleanup Day is a global effort to clean up polluted waterways and prevent trash and runoff from reaching the ocean. Last year, 152 countries and over nine million volunteers collected 145 million pounds of trash on a single day. Builders Site Protection’s valuable donation will contribute to reducing plastic waste generated by cleanup activities.
Builders Site Protection will supply Coastal Cleanup Day volunteers with five-gallon buckets for trash and recycling collection. Providing volunteers with buckets that can be reused for other purposes prevents the need for plastic trash bags, which are one of the most common types of marine pollution. “The gals at Builders Site Protection are pleased to contribute to this wonderful event and look forward to volunteering at clean-up sites across the county,” says Pat Mullen, President and CEO of Builders Site Protection. Surface Protection Expert Heather Ley will be coordinating the clean-up effort at Lake Poway.
