Dick Hannah Dealerships Provides Cars for Annual MDA Executive Lock-up

Vancouver, WA, September 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) annual Executive Lock-up in the Portland/Vancouver area successfully raised over $72,000 this year by arresting and locking up local business executives. This year Dick Hannah Dealerships partnered with the MDA by providing vehicles for use by the volunteers to pick up the executives who were “locked up” for the fundraiser. The MDA’s Executive Lock-up was a two date and location fundraiser, the first at Joe’s Crab Shack on the Columbia River on July 7th, 2011, and the second at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Portland on August 25th, 2011. Volunteer executives raised donations by calling friends, family and business partners to help raise their “bail” allowing them to leave the restaurant where they are being held. The MDA drivers shuttled participating executives using the donated vehicles from Dick Hannah Dealerships. The cars for the fundraiser were driven by off-duty firefighters, police officers and Oregon Air National Guard representatives.

The money raised by the Executive Lock-up is allocated towards vital services in support of local families who live in the Southwest Washington and Portland communities. The MDA is funded solely by individual, private contributions and cooperating organizations and dedicates 76 cents per dollar on education, services and research to find causes, treatments and cures for neuromuscular diseases.
