Bellevue, WA, September 13, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Marlon Familton, licensed mental health counselor specializing in issues surrounding trauma, anxiety and relationships joins the Premera Blue Cross network of providers.
Many people have times in their life when marriage, children, or work become difficult or perhaps an accident or trauma occurs. As a result they seek professional therapists or counselors to help them navigate through the challenging time. Since health insurance often provides coverage for counseling, individuals often look for providers within their insurance company’s network.
“I am pleased to announce that as of September 13, 2011, I am an in-network provider for the Premera Blue Cross network. This includes Lifewise as well as the Global, Heritage and Foundation networks,” Familton says. “I will be able to more easily support those who have a policy with Premera or Lifewise.”
Health insurance often includes coverage for behavioral health. Typically when someone sees a provider outside their insurance company’s network, the coverage is between 40% and 70% and they will be responsible for the balance of the provider’s fee. Sometimes there is no coverage. When someone sees a provider who is in-network, they pay nothing or a small co-pay.
“Becoming an in-network provider for Premera and Lifewise will enable me to help more people suffering from depression, bipolar, PTSD, trauma as well as challenges from their relationships,” Familton says. “I am excited and honored to be selected to join the Premera Blue Cross network.”
Familton’s counseling practice is also an in-network provider for Regence Blue Cross, Aetna, and the First Choice network.
