Show Your Commitment to Peace on September 21 - International Day of Peace

Mission Viejo, CA, September 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- There could be no more fitting of a day for the Circle of Unity to be granted its 501c3 non-profit status than on September 21, the United Nation’s international Day of Peace. The organization’s first order of business under its new status is a request for all those dedicated to world peace and harmony to commemorate the day by wearing white, which is a reminder to live in peace for at least this one day. Those who live locally are additionally encouraged to attend a demonstration of peace on the corner of Michelson and Culver Dr. in front of the gas station, to start from there and form a line alongside the sidewalk towards University Dr. from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21.

COU will provide banners and posters that will help raise awareness about the benefits of promoting peace within one’s life, as well as a matter of public policy. Those who can help with printing and material costs, please contact COU at 949-683-0663. We welcome all of those interested in joining an uplifting, feel-good tribute to the power of unity and the desire for a more peaceful, less violent world.

The Circle of Unity (COU) 501C3 is dedicated to expanding world peace by helping individuals find peace within their own hearts and minds. They hold events, workshops, weekly groups and distribute brochures and information to support compassion, understanding and acceptance. The idea for COU began more than 30 years ago - with a mother’s wish for her children to grow up in a more peaceful and less violent world. Since then, founder Nafiseh Sedaghat has dedicated her time, energy, heart, soul, wisdom and personal finances to make The Circle of Unity a reality. Each year the circle grows further, touching more hearts and minds with its simple truths and powerful teachings.

COU welcomes people of all backgrounds, faiths and beliefs. The more people who live a conscious life, the more peace will spread across the world, raising the vibration of our planet.
