Mastercraft Floor Covering Completes Installation at Library of Congress Despite Mother Nature

Tulsa, OK, September 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Originally contacted as a consultant, Mastercraft was contracted by the local installation company to perform the work due to their expertise not only with Axminster, but with difficult installs. Work came to an abrupt halt on August 23 when the entire building began to shake as the city experienced its largest earthquake in more than a decade. “We were under a very tight deadline with this project so when the building began to shake and people started to evacuate, we weren’t sure what was happening,” explained Gary Freeby, president of Mastercraft Floor Covering.
The building was shut down until August 24 because of safety concerns. When the crews resumed work, they were faced with an even tighter deadline. Originally, work was scheduled to take place after 5:00 but to meet the deadline the crew was split with one working days and the other nights. Then the warnings about Hurricane Irene began. “When the warnings about Irene started, we were very close to finishing the job and made the decision to work however long it took to complete it,” Freeby explained. At that point, it was all hands on deck around the clock.
Despite all of the turmoil, the job was completed on time and within budget. “Once again, Mastercraft demonstrates its ability to solve problems and get the job done to the customer’s satisfaction,” Freeby notes.
