Attorneys Jo Ann Koontz and Cynthia Riddell to Speak on Emerging Issues in Short Sales

Venice Area Board of Realtors Hosts Seminar on Judgment Collections, Bankruptcies and Their effect on Short Sales.

Venice, FL, September 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Local attorneys Jo Ann Koontz and Cynthia Riddell will speak on deficiency judgment collections, bankruptcies and their effect on short sales at a seminar scheduled for Monday, September 19, 2011, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Offered by the Venice Area Board of Realtors (VABR), in partnership with affiliate member Riddell Law Group, the seminar will be held at the board office at 680 Substation Road, Venice, FL 34285.

The seminar will focus on current trends and emerging issues with lenders obtaining deficiency judgments, the sale of judgments to investors, settling outstanding balances prior to obtaining deficiency judgments, and how to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.

Koontz is a Certified Public Accountant as well as an attorney in the Sarasota law firm of Yesner & Boss. She received her bachelor’s in business administration and her law degree from Ohio Northern University. Riddell has a bachelor’s in history from the University of South Florida and a law degree from Stetson University College of Law.
