The Arizona Team Holds Clothing Drive for International Rescue Committee
The Phoenix based company accepted clothing of all sizes to help children and adults who have been rescued from disasters across the world.
Phoenix, AZ, September 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Members of The Arizona Team held a two week long clothing drive this month. The Phoenix based company accepted clothing of all sizes to help children and adults who have been rescued from disasters across the world.
The Arizona Team is a sales and marketing firm located in Phoenix. The company specializes in client acquisition and retention for national corporations. Az has worked with several industries including energy, dotcom, consumer products, internet/data transfer and international companies.
One of The Arizona Team’s current clients is recognized as one of the nation’s leading providers of network services market by key technology industry analyst firms. The new client is the third largest telecommunications company in the United States and provides broadband, voice and wireless services to consumers and businesses across the country.
The International Rescue Committee is a non-profit organization founded in 1933. The organization provides support for those involved in humanitarian crises and helps them survive and rebuild their lives. IRC was founded at the request of Albert Einstein and offers lifesaving care, life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster.
The IRC now has a presence in over 40 countries and in 22 U.S. cities. The goal of the organization is to restore safety, dignity and hope to individuals who were uprooted from their homes.
The IRC sends help within 72 hours of an emergency and provides the needed supplies and professionals needed during times of chaos. Members of the organization stay in an area as long as they are needed to help not only heal the victims but to also help rebuild their communities.
The Arizona Team spent two weeks gathering clothes for the charity. With the entire team working together, Az was able to gather several bags of gently used clothes for the International Rescue Committee.
“We are constantly looking for new ways to contribute in the community. It is exciting to be able to do something so simple as collecting clothes and know we are making an impact. I am proud to be a part of a team that values philanthropy as much as The Arizona Team does,” explains an employee of Az.
The Arizona Team has also volunteered with Autism Speaks, The Fisher House, Assistance League of Diablo Valley, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Oxfam America, and Tuesday’s Children. The company expects to expand to new locations this year and says they will continue to volunteer as they expand.
