Panera Bread Introduces Salmon Salad to New Product Lineup

Raleigh, NC, April 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Joe and Diane Bastian, co-owners BreadWinners at the Triangle, a franchise of Panera Bread, announce today early success of their new Salmon Salad as part of its new product introduction to customers this year. Part of Panera Bread’s success with customers lies in its ever changing menu of products. Several times a year, products are rotated to enhance the variety in the product line. The featured products include seasonal bagel and soup offerings, new or returning sandwiches, salads and Crispani, the thin pizza available after 4 p.m.

“Sales have been brisk for our new featured products,” Joe says. “The Trail Mix bagel, Cho-O-Nut bagel and Chicken Tomesto Signature Sandwich have always been favorites of our customers, but the real excitement and success of this spring celebration in the new Grilled Salmon Salad.”

The Grilled Salmon Salad is a high-quality, nutritionally balanced dining option that is the most successful product Panera has ever test marketed. It became a destination item for Panera Bread customers.

The grilled Chilean salmon, chilled and served on top of field greens and romaine with roasted red peppers, French green beans and wheat berries, is tossed in Meyers lemon vinaigrette. The wheat berries introduce whole grains beyond the bread menu and toppings make the salad light, refreshing and perfect for something on the go.

The new salmon salad will be available through May 22, 2007.
