)-- Seth Kahan hosted a gathering of HR VPs and local business leaders at The Newseum on “Strategic HR and Innovation: Creating the Future,” September 16, 2011, in Washington, DC. The HR Certification Institute hosted the event in partnership with The McCormick Group, a highly esteemed executive search firm.
Kahan, a change leadership expert, bestselling author, and highly regarded speaker, led a discussion with over 60 executives from Washington, DC, organizations. Keynote speakers included Janice Bogash, Deputy Director of Human Resources of The Pew Charitable Trusts, Bridget Atkinson, Chief Human Capital Officer of GTSI Corp, and Holly Kortright, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Deltek.
The half-day program was a gathering of strategic HR pioneers and leaders to chart the course for breakthroughs in organizational success. Each speaker shared their experience, expertise, and knowledge on strategic HR and innovation as it relates to the value of HR at the helm of transformation and business growth. Participants earned 3.5 recertification credits for strategic business management from the HR Certification Institute by attending the event.
