)-- Ottawa native Walt Willey, star of "All My Children", will return to the area to perform his stand-up comedy show Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22 at Old Town Commons in Ottawa. A Sunday matinee meet and greet fundraiser for Easter Seals is also slated for the weekend.
Willey has been a featured player, "Jackson Montgomery", on the popular daytime drama for the past 18 years, and has been featured in clubs and venues across the country with his hilarious stand-up act.
Show times for Willey's comedy show are at 7 and 9pm on Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22. All seats are $30 in advance and $35 at the door, and full bar service is available. An early evening "Cocktails With Walt" hour is scheduled prior to Saturday's show at 5:30pm for an additional ticket price of $15. This exclusive time prior to the show includes appetizers and the unique opportunity to visit with this nationally-known television celebrity in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
While in the area, Willey will make an appearance on the Easter Seals Telethon broadcasting on Saturday, April 21. Well-known for his philanthropic works, on Sunday afternoon, April 22, he will again appear at Old Town Commons, but for a "Meet & Greet Fundraiser" for Easter Seals, where those attending will be part of a question and answer session, photos, and socializing with Willey. The 2:00 p.m. event will include appetizers, champagne and an auction to benefit Easter Seals, featuring items from area merchants and service providers. Willey will serve as the "auctioneer". Tickets for this Sunday event are $35 per person.
