MissionMobility LLC Announces Appointment of New President and CEO

Norfolk, VA, September 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Board of Directors of MissionMobility LLC is pleased to announce that Steve Newell has joined MissionMobility as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 19, 2011.

Newell, 44, most recently held the position of General Manager of LXE Inc., the mobile computer business of EMS Technologies. At LXE, Newell was responsible for the day-to-day operations, including growing its distributor channels to market, enhancing product development, streamlining manufacturing, and driving initiatives to improve the business's profitability.

Newell joined EMS Technologies in 2003 working in the Satcom division, moving up the ranks from a sales account manager to finally serving as Vice President, Satcom Sales. Prior to joining EMS, Newell was the Manager of Avionics Systems at AIRIA, Inc., where he was responsible for the development of the company's Inmarsat-based aeronautical TV system. In addition, Newell served in product management at Racal Avionics Inc. overseeing the Racal’s satcom antenna portfolio.

Newell graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering and spent his early career as a submarine officer.
