)-- Attorney Melissa Brumback, a partner at Ragsdale Liggett PLLC, will speak at the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys Fall Seminar in Greensboro, NC on October 14, 2011. Ms. Brumback is the presenter for Construction Law section. Her session addresses the Best Practices for Minimizing Risk in Construction Contracts and includes negotiating key contract terms, managing changes during the project, terminating the contract and preparing for a claim.
Ms. Brumback is a seasoned construction law litigation attorney who has handled all sizes of construction cases including multi-million dollar and multi-prime contracts. She represents architects, engineers, contractors and owners. Melissa maintains a blog that discusses construction law issues in North Carolina (www.constructionlawNC.com).
The Fall Seminar is an all day event providing meaningful education and awards, 6.5 CLE hours and 6 hours insurance credits. The seminar will be held at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center.
