Mississauga, Canada, September 28, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Mississauga residents gathered in the Rotary Park at Tacc Drive and Tenth Line this past Sunday to discover what many organizations have to offer. Le Refuge Yoga was one of the exhibitors, and things really fired up when owner, Claudine LaRochelle, and her husband, stunt man Herb Reischl, rolled out the mats and offered free yoga for everyone. Adults of all ages, individuals with health conditions, mature people, and even children decided to join in and experience first-hand the benefits of this gentle, wholesome practice that originated in India eons ago.
“Yoga is too hard, and I could never do it,” said one lady who was reluctant to try. LaRochelle, always happy to be challenged, successfully walked this skeptic through a full round of Sun Salutation using a chair as a prop. “Yoga is beneficial for all ages,” says LaRochelle, “and when people say that they are too stiff or too weak, that’s when I know they need yoga the most.”
For 6 straight hours, LaRochelle talked and laughed with everyone, demonstrated some useful yoga sequences for golfers, encouraged everyone to try yoga, and even gave away 5 free lessons at the end of the day.
The Family Day in the Park was a huge success and Le Refuge Yoga is looking forward to participating in this Rotary event again next year.
