Group Housing Benefits Plan Offers Relief in Recovering Houston Economy

Houston, TX, September 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- National Housing Benefit Alliance (NHBA) recently rolled out its Group Housing Benefits Plan (HBP) in the Houston area. The HBP is similar to a group health or dental plan with one notable difference—there is no cost to local employers or organizations. Membership for participants and their family members is free.

NHBA has partnered with First Community Mortgage, Veracity Credit Consultants, and other professionals essential to the real estate transaction to bring a full service real estate experience to members at significant savings. First Community Mortgage, a division of First National Bank Texas, offers various loan programs including those that provide down payment and closing cost assistance.

This high-value benefits program is designed to save employees and their family members thousands of dollars when buying or selling a home. Renters also realize savings when leasing an apartment or home. In addition to generous savings on real estate transactions, the plan also provides members with financial literacy education, counseling and discounts offered through its Preferred Partner network.

“Our mission is to be a trusted asset to local businesses and organizations, while providing our members with generous savings, extraordinary value and unsurpassed First Class care and attention. Instead of spending money on expensive advertising, our benefits program directs marketing dollars back to employees in the form of generous discounts, cash rewards and free services,” says Toni Hogan, NHBA's Group Benefits Administrator.

“In the face of economic inconsistency many employers have been forced to cut back or eliminate altogether employee benefits and perks. Our benefits program is right for the times and a win—win proposition for both the employer and the employee,” says Hogan. “We are simply giving employees what they need—access to savings and funding programs, 'First Class' service, and convenient access to a team of real estate professionals they can trust and depend on. Our program is a welcomed asset to local employers because it provides a no cost solution that helps companies enhance and diversify their benefits package.”

Employer participation is fast and easy, and there is no program management involved. Enrollment for employees and their family members is free and benefits begins immediately. Members conveniently view their benefits package and access their resources from the NHBA member website.

All employees and new hires receive HBP program information brochures, membership cards and a monthly e-newsletter with a schedule of upcoming free workshops. “When you provide high quality service, do the right thing and give back to the community, everyone wins,” says Hogan.

National Housing Benefit Alliance assists Employers, Organizations and Associations in the development, implementation and administration of Housing Benefit Plans that focus saving members money and promoting financial literacy.
