The first Moms in Business Unite Conference in Denver was deemed a success by event organizers. One of the highlights of the September 21 event was announcing the winner of the Best New Product, handmade iPad covers from taradara, a company operated by Tara Rex.

Denver, CO, September 30, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Moms in Business Unite, offering a unique educational conference to enhance the professional and personal lives of women and mom business owners, announced today that its first Denver conference was a success, as nearly 60 women gathered at the Hyatt Denver Tech Center on September 21 to learn and be inspired. The most common comment heard throughout the day was “we want more,” as the incredible group of high quality speakers shared their expertise and generated tremendous energy and focus.

One of the highlights of the event was announcing the winner of the Best New Product, handmade iPad covers from taradara, a company run by Tara Rex. Four women-owned businesses participated in the Denver Inventor Showcase, getting a chance to showcase their new products to attendees who voted on which one they thought was “best.”

The event also included an inspiring keynote presentation from Maria Bailey of BSM Media, the foremost authority on marketing to moms; four educational-packed breakout sessions; an informative Q&A networking luncheon/panel discussion; and a resource marketplace. Moms in Business Unite also stepped up its social media presence by calling on attendees to tweet and re-tweet educational nuggets throughout the day while utilizing the hashtag of “#mibu”.

“We’re happy at how our first Denver conference went, in terms of the fabulous feedback we received from attendees, sponsors and speakers,” said Cristen Lebsack, Moms in Business Unite VP of Finance and Operations. “We’re proud to provide a platform for Denver mom and women business owners to gain knowledge that helps them get inspired and be more successful.”
