Salon Today is the leading national publication for the business side of the salon industry. Entries were judged in three phases. First, Salon Today editors and designers reviewed essays and photography submitted by each salon. Next, a panel of editors and art directors analyzed submissions further to narrow it down to a select group of finalists. Finally, nominees were evaluated by a panel of experts in six design categories: use of color, lighting, flooring, use of space efficiency, consistency of design and overall aesthetics.
