Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

Buena Park, CA, October 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Xclaimed Ministries will be performing at the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on October 29th hosted by Crescent Avenue Family Ministries in Buena Park, California.

Tami Newsham, event coordinator says, “I became passionate about raising money for breast cancer awareness, when my dearest friend Diana Cazeau died April 30, 2010, after a long battle of breast cancer. I did some research and found out that Susan G. Komen had a program that if you raised $1000.00 you could sponsor a Mobil mammogram machine that would go to low income neighborhoods and give free mammograms to women who couldn’t afford them. Diana lived in a local motel, didn’t have insurance, and didn’t find out she had cancer until it was stage four. I pray that we can raise this money and get this mammogram machine out there to help women who are unable to get this important test done. If we can save just one woman, catch the cancer early and save her life, it is all worth it. We couldn’t save Diana, but through her we can save someone else!”

Paul Karanick, Evangelist of Xclaimed Ministries, said, “We are excited to participate in such an important community event. The financial goal is truly obtainable in a one day event, but the outcome will assist women in the community for years to come.”

Everyone is welcome to participate on Saturday October 29th. Newsham says, “Come have a family fun day with us! Registration is at 9am, lunch is provided to the first 250 people. We will also have crafts, a bake sale, other items for sale, some speakers, and prizes for the first, second and third place pledge winners. There will also be a free Concert by the Xclaimed Ministries Band!”
