Jaipur, India, October 15, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- Leading hosting provider, hostnetindia.com had officially launched its latest addition to its list of products, a renowned technology widely known as the Content Delivery Network (CDN) software solution.
CDN is built for the purpose of delivering contents to users quickly. It works by replicating all your contents in different EDGE servers and directs your clients to the closest EDGE server instead of routing back to the originating server. This technology is similar to Youtube where users are able to stream the same videos on locally hosted EDGE servers they have in the country.
A content delivery network or (CDN) is a system of computers containing copies of data, placed at various points in a network so as to maximize bandwidth for access to the data from clients throughout the network. A client accesses a copy of the data near to the client, as opposed to all clients accessing the same central server so as to avoid bottleneck near that server.
Content types include web objects, downloadable objects (media files, software, documents), applications, real time media streams, and other components of internet delivery.
CDNs generally deliver content over TCP and UDP connections. TCP throughput over a network is impacted by both latency and packet loss. In order to reduce both of these parameters, CDNs traditionally place servers as close to the edge networks that users are on as possible. Theoretically the closer the content the faster the delivery, although network distance may not be the factor that leads to best performance. End users will likely experience less jitter, fewer network peaks and surges, and improved stream quality - especially in remote areas. The increased reliability allows a CDN operator to deliver HD quality content with high Quality of Service, low costs and low network load.
CDN nodes are usually deployed in multiple locations, often over multiple backbones. These nodes cooperate with each other to satisfy requests for content by end users, transparently moving content to optimize the delivery process. Optimization can take the form of reducing bandwidth costs, improving end-user performance (reducing page load times and user experience), or increasing global availability of content.
“You will be able to feel the difference with the CDN, your website remains up and running around the clock, unaffected by server outages, you can focus on ensuring the quality of your content, enable you to dynamically scale your content infrastructure based on your traffic requirements, in just a click, a marketplace enable you to make informative decisions about where to host your content,” said Vipin Pandey , CTO of Host Net India.
