Campbell Law School Hosts U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers
Congresswoman Addressed Students and Faculty on Jobs and the Economy.
Raleigh, NC, October 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, (http://law.campbell.edu), has announced that U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers visited the school on Sept. 29 to discuss jobs and the economy with students and faculty.
Ellmers, a Republican from Harnett County, talked with those in attendance about what she and fellow lawmakers are doing to improve the nation’s unemployment rate, which currently sits at 9.1 percent. November will mark one year since Ellmers’ election, and the former nurse told students that her goal in Washington, D.C., was to make sure that when they graduated, they would have a job. Following her 20-minute presentation, Ellmers took questions from students on topics ranging from the national budget deficit to student debt and the Republican presidential primary.
