Working Wardrobes Continues Expansion, Brings Fundraising Veteran to Growing Team

Costa Mesa, CA, October 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Working Wardrobes, an inspiring Orange County nonprofit serving more than 5,000 men and women each year, today announced the addition of Amy Larson as the organization’s new director of development. With more than a decade of experience in nonprofit fundraising and corporate leadership, Larson joins the Working Wardrobes staff to expand fundraising with corporations, local businesses and individual donors.

“Amy’s talent in fund development will have a tremendously positive impact on our community outreach efforts and help us focus on partnerships and donations, creating resources to serve even more clients each year,” said Jerri Rosen, founder and CEO of Working Wardrobes. “Despite the difficult financial climate, the addition of Amy to our staff will allow us to continue meeting the growing needs of the community and help those who have overcome obstacles and are ready to re-enter the workforce.”

Larson is primed to fill her new position at Working Wardrobes, previously serving as the director of individual giving and later the director of development at the Laguna Playhouse, where she was responsible for coordinating sponsorship programs and events. Under her leadership, the organization expanded in the areas of corporate patronage and major gift support. Larson also served as the director of annual giving at another local nonprofit, The Wooden Floor, where she built sponsorships for the organization’s numerous galas and other notable events.

“I am delighted to join an organization that passionately serves the community and offers a dose of self-confidence to deserving men and women dedicated to achieving self-sufficiency,” said Larson. “In my new role at Working Wardrobes, I am eager to support the organization’s overall mission and continually increase the number of lives we are able to transform.”

After graduating cum laude with a dual degree in theatre and education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, Larson became a founding member of the Alternative Repertory Theatre in Santa Ana and served on the board of directors for Leadership Tomorrow and Women in Management. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising professionals and a long-time supporter of Working Wardrobes, as well as many other local organizations.
