Passage Home Announces 2011-2012 Board of Directors

Wake County Group Fighting Poverty and Homelessness Announce New Board of Directors

Raleigh, NC, October 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Passage Home (http://www.passagehome.org), a nonprofit agency fighting poverty and homelessness in Wake County, has named the members of its 2011-2012 board of directors. The board of directors, which is comprised of local community members and business executives, helps set the direction of the organization and guide its efforts to fight the cycle of poverty and homelessness in Wake County. Passage Home serves approximately 1,000 households per year across its range of housing and support services programs. The board plans to continue to expand the organization’s existing housing, re-entry and support services programs for youth and families, and neighborhood development programs in the coming year.

The 2011-2012 board of directors includes:

- Bettie Jean Burrell, community representative, retired city employee
- Don Camden, regional manager and assistant vice president of Cargill, chair of the Passage Home Board
- Robert Daly, president of Daly 7 Hotels
- Harvey Horton, community representative, retired IBM software manager
- Cynthia Jones, neo-soul gospel entertainer
- Tara Konya, manager of Tommy Bahama
- Cheryl Lane, corporate supporter, vice chair of the Passage Home Board
- John McKinney, market president of Alfred Williams and Company
- Phil Ritchie, CEO of Delta Gypsum Distributers, treasurer of the Passage Home Board
- Charles Rodman, community volunteer representative, South Citizens Advisory Council
- Rosa Williams Sherk, CEO of Mirror Training & Consulting, secretary of the Passage Home Board
- Dwight Stanley, community volunteer
- Jeanne Tedrow, chief executive officer of Passage Home
