PSU Small Buiness Institute Helping Local Doctors

Plymouth State University just finished a six-month business plan project for WonderDoc software systems - an EHR program designed specifically for chiropractors.

Plymouth, NH, October 22, 2011 --(PR.com)-- In this day and age, having a great idea doesn't necessarily guarantee success; you need to convince people that it really is a great idea that needs to be embraced.

That's what's happening with Plymouth State University's Small Business Institute, which just finished a six-month consulting project with Jim Pamplin, owner of WonderDoc software systems, and Jeff Ferguson, professional software engineer. WonderDoc is a chiropractic EHR system that is designed to help manage patients and offices through automated administrative tasks. The system helps physicians increase revenue, lower overhead and improve patient outcomes.

SBI Director Craig Zamzow said the SBI consulting group, consisting of Justin Leever, Justin Scopetto and Cynthia Mongeon, conducted research about the software and created a business plan to market it to chiropractic clinics internationally.

"A large part of the report was based on a survey which led the student SBI team to specific outcomes for the pricing and competitive comparisons of the product," Zamzow said. "The survey was instrumental in providing comprehensive information of the comparison of similar office management systems."

The SBI group delivered the marketing plan to Dr. James Pamplin last month; a chiropractor who helped develop WonderDoc, said the report was exactly what they need to transform an idea into a successful business venture.

"Plymouth State University's marketing and MBA students delivered a business plan that far exceed our expectations," said Pamplin. "The level of analysis and volume of information will be the single most important asset in our venture," Pamplin added. "We are very grateful for the tremendous work Craig and his team have done for us."

The SBI and Small Business Support Center are actively seeking local business people that are looking for guidance for their business to continue to grow and thrive in our community.
